I drove across the Rocky Boy Nation, in central Montana to take a ride on the McClelland ferry crossing, one of our three Missouri River ferry crossings.
Dropping down off the prairie into the Missouri River canyon, it was a dry day luckily. If it had been raining, we would have been stuck there watching the walls of the canyon run with mud. The road is bentonite and turns into a sticky mess.
As we approached the ferry crossing, three horses came running up to the truck begging and wanting to be social. I snapped this shot quickly before the image went blurry. I was eye level with the horse which is not usually the case, as I am quite short.
